What the job actually is
Finding moisture under a membrane today means walking the roof with handheld gear or a contractor's opinion, coring where you guess, and repairing sections whose boundaries nobody actually mapped.

- You already know the roof is done; skip the survey and bid the replacement.
- The building sits in airspace where the flight cannot be routinely authorized; this is checkable before anyone mobilizes.
- You want structural assessment; that is a different inspection.
What an engineer has to verify
- That the operator flies radiometric thermal, not just a pretty color camera, and delivers calibrated data.
- The weather and time window in the proposal; daytime thermal roof surveys are how you buy noise.
- Core-sample confirmation is included, so thermal suspicion becomes evidence.
- Airspace status over your building before scheduling.
